SLEC wins at the 7th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards Ceremony

St Luke's ElderCare Ageing Asia Awards
We are thrilled to be awardees of four categories at the 7th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards Ceremony, an industry recognition platform for best eldercare products, programmes and service delivery organised by Ageing Asia Pte Ltd.

Of the four awards, our dementia care programme won the best programme for engaging and enabling rehabilitation and happiness for persons with dementia.

Our other three submissions, “St Luke’s ElderCare Ang Mo Kio PolyclinicCentre”, “Trishaw programme”, in partnership with Cycling Without Age Singapore and “Our Art Journey” got into the finals under the respective categories:

– Best Day Centre Operator
– Best Active Ageing Programme – Community
– Innovation of the Year – Social Engagement Programme

Our Chief Executive Officer, A/Prof Kenny Tan, also won the Global Ageing Trailblazer in recognition of his outstanding achievement and inspiration to many others in the eldercare sector.

We are truly humbled by the recognition, and we endeavour to continue enriching lives in the community!

St Luke's ElderCare Dementia Care Programme
Our Principal Occupational Therapist, Ms May Low receiving the winner award for Best Dementia Care Programme. 

The award recognises the best dementia care programme that engage and enable rehabilitation and happiness for persons with dementia.

St Luke’s ElderCare dementia care programme aims to “make life worth living” for elders with various cognitive, physical and functional ability by seeking to integrate them fully into a common place, a community, where they can find love, hope, strength and meaning.

Best Active Ageing Programme - Community Finalist - St Luke's ElderCare Trishaw Programme

With aims to encourage sharing of personal stories and forge intergenerational relations, our trishaw programme, in partnership with Cycling Without Age has brought more than 100 elders outdoors and saw many reminisce their yesteryears with their youth pilots.Innovation of the year - Social Engagement Programme Finalist - St Luke's ElderCare "Our Art Journey"

Since its inception in 2016, “Our Art Journey”, has had more than 1000 elders exploring several art modalities and enjoying the therapeutic benefits of art making.

We have also had two art exhibitions which curated and shared our elders’ art works and stories.

Best Day Centre Operator Finalist - St Luke's ElderCare Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic Centre

SLEC APC is the first senior care centre to co-site with a polyclinic. It provides a suite of integrated services for elders and their families. The co-location also provides elders with the convenience of receiving their medical follow up at the polyclinic.

About St Luke’s ElderCare
St Luke’s ElderCare operates 22 eldercare centres island-wide and will continue to grow to 25 eldercare centres and a nursing home by 2020.

We provide an integrated suite of services to enable elders to experience the joy of ageing gracefully and successfully. The services aim to actively engage seniors in physical and mental activities, maintain or improve the functional levels of those who have suffered physical disabilities as a result of stroke, fall or accidents, and to care for them while their loved ones are at work.
